Experience:

  • Conferences and Workshops: In February 2004, I was appointed by EPDP, Environment Protection Authority, Ministry of Water and Environment to study the marine biodiversity in Al-Luhayyah-Midi region, northern Yemen Red Sea.
  • In November 2005, I was appointed by SNRMP, Environment Protection Authority, Ministry of Water and Environment to prepare the National Appendix on Endangered Species in the marine ecosystem of Yemen.
  • In December 2011, I was appointed by The Environment Protection Authority, Ministry of Water and Environment to prepare a Report on the state of the marine environment in the Republic of Yemen. This report is an integral part of the second report of the state of marine environment in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden prepared by PERSGA.
  • I participated in many workshops, forums, symposiums and seminars in the fields of Phytoplankton, Marine biodiversity, fisheries, harmful planktonic algae, Marine protected areas, marine pollution, endangered marine species and marine resources. Some of them are:
  • The workshop on sea cucumber fisheries in the Republic of Yemen held in Sana’a in 28 November 2007.
  • The international symposium MECOS 2009 (Marine Ecosystems-Challenges & Opportunities) held in Cochin, India during 9-12 February 2009. In MECOS 2009 I presented a paper under the title” Threatened species in the marine ecosystem of Yemen”.
  • The national workshop on coastal pollution and its impacts on marine organisms, held in Sana’a during 24 – 26 September 2012 as a lecturer, and presented two lectures under the titles” Irrational development and its impacts on coastal environment” and ” The environmental impacts associated with the greenhouse effect”.
