Conclusion of the third course for administrators of websites and social media pages in the colleges and centers of Sana’a University
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Al-Qasim Muhammad Abbas, President of Sana’a University, the third training course for administrators of websites and social media pages in the faculties and centers of Sana’a University was concluded today. It was held under the slogan “Towards Meaningful University Media” and was allocated to training on writing and preparing press releases and how to choose appropriate photography angles in covering events. Various activities and the use of modern applications and programs to manage social media pages and create appropriate content in colleges and scientific and research centers at Sana’a University.
At the conclusion of the course, which lasted three days and was implemented at the Business Administration Center at the College of Commerce, Professor Adel Al-Hababi, Assistant to the University President for Media Affairs, explained that the main goal of organizing this course is to provide participants, who numbered forty male and female trainees, with officials on websites and social media pages in the colleges. The university centers provide them with the appropriate skill to be able to cover the news, activities and events taking place in their colleges and centers at Sana’a University, which is the first in Yemen with its infrastructure and human wealth represented by its scholars from the faculty members in all colleges and centers and provides educational service to tens of thousands of our male students and female students. From various governorates of Yemen in almost all fields of science, Al-Hababi stressed the need for what has been trained, whether in the field of preparing news or creating content for each college or center, to be reflected on their websites and social media pages in the coming days, stressing that this will constitute a qualitative shift in form. The general image of these sites and communication pages in a way that reflects positively on the general image of Sana’a University and in a way that contributes to conveying the true image of the university to the local community and to the authorities concerned with the international classification of universities in the world. It is worth noting that the participants in the course received, during its three days, theoretical lectures and practical applications under the supervision of Dr. Ali Al-Ammar, Head of the Department of Journalism and Electronic Publishing at the College of Information, and Mr. Majed Aslan, Director of Information Systems at the College of Education and the Computer Center.
