Educational and Psychological Guidance Lecture for the Faculty of Science Students
On Saturday Sep14th, Faculty of Science in cooperation with the Educational and Psychological Counseling Center launched the first lecture on educational and psychological counseling for students of the College, held in the Thabet Al-Hamidi hall.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Salih Qasila, initiated the event by welcoming Dr. Abdulkhaliq Handa Khamis, Deputy Director of the Educational and Psychological Counseling Center at Sana’a University, the vice deans, heads of departments, members of the academic guidance committee at the College, faculty members and their assistants, and students… He praised the strong turnout and the exceptional engagement of all attendees…
He emphasized the significance of academic, educational, and psychological support for students, highlighting the need for them to take advantage of these lectures and engage meaningfully in discussions to enhance their learning.
Dr. Khamis emphasized the importance of managing and organizing students’ time in a way that aligns with both their academic responsibilities and daily life. He highlighted that Faculty of Science is the pioneer in offering these lectures and urged all colleges to focus on students’ psychological well-being and assist them in addressing the challenges they encounter throughout their educational journey.
The lecture introduced the academic advisors from each department within the college, encouraging students to seek their assistance when facing any issues. Following the insightful and engaging session, students expressed their gratitude to both the college and Dr. Abdulkhaleq, requesting that similar lectures be held regularly, at least once per semester, and cover a wider range of topics relevant to their personal and academic development. The event was well-attended by a large group of male and female students, along with several faculty members.
