The team of external auditors for institutional accreditation concludes its field visit to the College of Science at Sana’a University

Today, the team of external auditors concluded its field visit for institutional accreditation of the College of Science at Sana’a University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Shukri, Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, and Prof. Muhammad Saleh Qasila, Dean of the College, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Dhaifullah, Secretary General of the Accreditation Council, and head and members of the external review team.
The visit lasted four consecutive days, during which many meetings and interviews were held with representatives of academic standards, and a visit to the facilities, laboratories, equipment, and contents of the college, including study halls, control, the library, college departments, playgrounds, and other facilities affiliated with the college.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Muhammad Dhaifullah, Secretary-General, reviewed the procedures for institutional academic accreditation, and what the college must do after accreditation.
The Secretary-General praised the efforts made by the team headed by Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Shujaa, and the membership of Dr. Sania Al-Qarmouti, and Prof. Dr. Munif Al-Dhabhani, and Dr. Amin Al-Asbahi, during the four days, as well as the university leadership represented by Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, the Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Qasila, and the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Dr. Hoda Al-Emad, as well as to Dr. Hoda Al-Sanhani, Acting Director General of Accreditation.
Dr. Fadl Al-Wasabi, head of the expert team, reviewed the accreditation steps from the issuance of the ministerial decision until the field visit.
While Prof. Dr. reviewed Omar Al-Shujaa, Head of the External Auditors Team, reviewed the visit plan and the procedures undertaken by the team, as well as the meetings and gatherings held by the team since the first day.
Al-Shuja’ also reviewed the college’s most important strengths and weaknesses.
For his part, the Dean of the College praised the efforts of the Accreditation Council Committee made during the visit to the College, and the unlimited support provided by Prof. Dr. Al-Qasim Muhammad Abbas, President of the University, for the college. Emphasizing the college’s determination with all its members to transform weaknesses into strengths, and to work continuously and seriously on improvement and development.
Dr. Qusayla stressed that the College of Science during the next two years will witness transformation and development for the better, and support effective partnership with employers and the labor market.
The closing session was attended by the deputy deans, Dr. Hussein Hanash, Director General of Auditing at the Council, department heads, the professor, the college secretary, a number of faculty members, administrators and technicians, and some students at the college.
