A scientific visit to students of the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science to the Shamlan Water Factory

The General Administration of Student Activities at the Prosecution of the University of the University for Student Affairs in cooperation with the University Student Forum organized a scientific visit to students of the Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, the second level, a scientific visit to the Shamlan Water Factory in the Municipality of the capital, Sana’a, on Wednesday 12/2/2025 AD for a number (38 students)
Where this scientific visit is part of a practical analytical course at this level, and its aim is to help the student know, understand and absorb the practical and productive aspect of what he studies.
The visit started with an exploratory tour of the factory under the supervision of the production unit, Dr. Adel Hussein.
Where students were briefed on all steps to treat the groundwater used in the factory, which divided the treatment into three sections:
Physical therapy
Chemical treatment
Microblogal treatment
These three sections were explained along the processing units of the beneficial summary, and the chemical side of the students ’specialization was focused and the benefit would be more.
Then the students moved to the production of production units and got acquainted with the machines and the course of production, then reviewing the factory laboratory that contains three units for physical, chemical and microbils analysis to ensure the efficiency and quality of production and the students took an idea of ​​the devices used for chemical and physical analysis to match the specifications of the General Authority for specifications, standards and quality control, and standards of the World Health Organization for Water Drinking.
