Dr. Abdulhafidh Thawabah, Assistant Vice Rector for Medical Faculties and Hospitals, conducted an official inspection visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine today. The visit aimed to evaluate the progress of the educational process, review institutional infrastructure, and assess academic activities and student services as part of the University’s ongoing commitment to quality assurance and academic excellence.
Upon his arrival, Dr. Thawabah was received by Dr. Abdulraqeeb Al-Shami, the Faculty Dean, and Dr. Saleh Al-Omaisi, Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Community Service. Accompanied by the Dean and Vice Dean, Dr. Thawabah toured various scientific departments, lecture halls, and laboratories. During the tour, he praised the significant progress achieved by the Faculty despite its recent establishment, commending the faculty and administrative staff for their dedication to enhancing the learning environment.
During the visit, Dr. Thawabah underscored several key priorities for the Faculty’s future growth:
– Ensuring the fulfillment of necessary equipment and laboratory facilities to meet high academic standards.
– Continuous updating of academic programs to keep pace with international veterinary standards.
– Expanding outreach programs to highlight the vital role of veterinary medicine in protecting livestock and ensuring national food security.
The leadership of the Faculty expressed their gratitude to the Assistant Vice Rector for his visit, noting that direct engagement from university leadership is crucial for identifying departmental needs and celebrating academic milestones.
Concluding his visit, Dr. Thawabah reaffirmed the University’s commitment to providing the Faculty with all available resources. This support is intended to ensure the graduation of highly qualified professionals capable of making tangible contributions to the development of Yemen’s agricultural and veterinary sectors.
