Public Seminar of the PhD Research Proposal submitted by Ms. Asma’a Al-Wasabi from the Department of History and International Relations
Today, Sunday, March 2, 2025, a seminar was convened to discuss the PhD research proposal submitted by Ms. Asma’a Abdullah Mohammad Yahya Al-Wasabi in the Department of History and International Relations at the Faculty of Arts & Humanities – Sana’a University. The proposed research is titled “The Social Life in Kuwait during the Era of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (1921-1950): A Historical Study,” and is conducted under the supervision of Prof. Mahmoud Al-Sha’abi.
The seminar was attended by Prof. Abdulhakim Al-Hijri, Head of the Department, a representative from the Graduate Studies office at the Faculty, several faculty members from the Department of History and International Relations, as well as a number of graduate students within the department.
During the seminar, the student presented her research proposal and its components. Following this presentation, an engaging discussion ensued among the attending faculty members. The discussion proved to be productive, providing valuable insights for both the researcher and attendees regarding her area of major. Ultimately, the PhD proposal received formal approval at the conclusion of the discussion.
