SANA’A, YEMEN —Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University organized a specialized professional development workshop titled “Leveraging NotebookLM in Higher Education.” Led by Dr. Mohammed Al-Attab, the session targeted junior and assistant faculty members as part of the faculty’s strategic initiative to elevate academic capabilities and integrate modern educational technologies into teaching and scientific research.
The workshop provided a comprehensive introduction to NotebookLM, highlighting its core features as an AI-powered research assistant. Dr. Al-Attab demonstrated the tool’s practical applications in organizing and managing academic sources, analyzing complex content, generating summaries, and developing lecture materials. The curriculum focused on enhancing academic efficiency and safely utilizing artificial intelligence tools to enrich the learning environment.
The training featured interactive, hands-on applications, allowing participants to directly interface with the software. Faculty members practiced:
• Synthesizing scientific content and streamlining literature reviews.
• Managing extensive digital references and source documents.
• Designing interactive instructional aids to support classroom and research activities.
