Department of Social Work Reviews Master’s Research Proposal by Ahmed Al-Maflahi

SANA’A – Wednesday, August 12, 2026 (Safar 26, 1448 AH)
The Department of Social Work at Sana’a University hosted a seminar today to discuss a Master’s thesis proposal submitted by researcher Ahmed Noman Saeed Al-Maflahi, titled ” Professional Alienation and Its Impact on the Performance of Social Workers in the Capital Secretariat-Sana’a .”
The study is being conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Sukaina Ahmed Hashem, Chair of the Department of Social Work, Associate Professor of Social Work at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs.
The Defense Committee comprised the following faculty members:
– Assoc. Prof. Sukaina Ahmed Hashem (Supervisor & Committee Member)
– Dr. Fahd Mohammed Al-Ahmadi (Committee Member)
– Dr. Ameen Dabwan Hassan Qaid (Committee Member)
– Dr. Mohammed Al-Attab (Committee Member)
During the session, Al-Maflahi presented his research proposal, outlining the study’s objectives, significance, methodology, theoretical and conceptual frameworks, proposed hypotheses, and analytical tools.
Following a thorough discussion, the committee approved the research proposal, commending the researcher’s effort and highlighting the significance of the topic in addressing social work practices in Sana’a.
The seminar was attended by faculty members, interested researchers, and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
