Celebration of World Philosophy Day at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University
Under the esteemed patronage of Prof. Al-Qasim Mohammad Abbas, Rector of Sana’a University, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities hosted a celebration in honor of “World Philosophy Day” on Tuesday, 15 Jumada Ii 1446 Hijri, corresponding to December 17, 2024, commencing at ten o’clock in the morning.
The event commenced with recitations from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the national anthem. Dr. Aida Al-Dahmali, Head of the Department of Philosophy, delivered an insightful address reflecting on the significance of philosophy in contemporary discourse.
Graduate students contributed to the proceedings with valuable interventions addressing various philosophical themes and contemporary issues. Subsequently, the floor was opened for attendees to pose questions and offer comments, fostering an engaging dialogue on the relevance of philosophy in today’s world
