Integrating computers and modern technologies into education by preparing specialized educators in computer science.
The department seeks to prepare scientifically and professionally qualified teachers in computer education and the design of educational and applied programs across various fields, meeting the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the needs of the local and regional labor market.
1. Qualifying graduates equipped with the necessary skills to teach computer courses in public and private schools.
2. Preparing graduates with the skills required to work as information systems specialists in educational administrations.
3. Equipping graduates with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in designing and developing educational computer programs and other applied software, as well as evaluating and selecting the appropriate ones.
4. Providing students with skills in using modern programming languages to design and develop desktop, web, and mobile applications.
5. Enhancing students’ ability to understand and successfully use modern computer technology in school and social environments, and increase awareness of social and scientific issues related to computers and modern technologies.
6. Contributing to spreading information literacy and preparing qualified personnel in computer science and information technology to serve development goals.
7. Providing students with fundamental knowledge in the core areas of computer science, qualifying them to enter the academic field in various computer science disciplines.
8. Familiarizing students with concepts and skills related to computers, operating systems, networks, information systems, programming languages, and network-based learning.
9. Planning, implement, and evaluate computer teaching efficiently.
10. Committing to the discipline and ethics of the teaching profession.
11. Developing postgraduate programs (Master’s and Doctoral degrees).
