A workshop of Bar Association holds by MRISC in the partnership with UNHCR 2024

 Under the auspices of Prof. Alqasem Mohammed Abaas- Rictor of Sana’a University- the MRISC held a workshop on the 1st of Oct. 2024, for a two-day workshop  course was held for the of Bar Association on Refugee, Asylum-Seekers and IDPs Cases. This particular group was targeted as adjacent to dealing with the issues of refugees, asylum-seekers and IDPs. They were selected in coordination with UNHCR. AMB. Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Emad Director MRISC of all the attendees first of them Mr. Abdullah Rajeh, President of the Bar Association and from UNHCR Mr. Armen- Assistant Representative of  UNHCR- along with  Mr. Haithem Al-sufi & Mr. Rasllan Shuja’adeen from UNHCR’s Protection.

 Various sessions were facilitated at this event, which were informed by interventions, observations and inquiries, including, but not limited to, the problems of refugees and the laws applicable to them while in Yemen, including criminal problems. Civil, labour, detention, expulsion or deportation, naturalization, education, etc., on the rights of refugees and IDPs and the role of Bar Association in providing legal aid to them and the international standards of control powers and control over their application and possible solutions to alleviate problems of both refugees and IDPs.

 AMB. Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Amad, ended this session with  praising the interaction and questions of the participant and creating a spirit of discussion and brainstorming on many issues related to refugees, asylum seekers and IDPs.

Finally and before the end of the workshop the questionnaire on the evaluation of the effectiveness was distributed through the participants, then certificates were distributed to the participants.
