- The mean total knowledge scores increased after implementation of the training program from 21.79 ± 4.34 to 25.28 ± 3.02, while total practice scores improved from 83.95 ± 36.12 to 124.55 ± 43.42, with highly statistically significant differences.
- Significant improvements were observed in the knowledge and practice levels of intensive care nurses following the educational intervention, reflecting the effectiveness of the training program.
- Results of the McNemar-Bowker test demonstrated statistically significant differences in nurses’ knowledge and practice levels before and after the educational intervention.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
- Continuing periodic educational and training programs for nursing staff working in intensive care units.
- Adhering to standard protocols, conducting regular competency assessments and evaluations, and continuously updating professional knowledge to ensure best practices in endotracheal tube care.
