It reflected the Center’s commitment to strengthening the practical component of translation program curricula at Yemeni universities and bridging academic study with the requirements of the labor market.

The visiting delegation was received by Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the Center, and Dr. Yahya Obaid, Deputy Director. They welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of field visits in developing students’ language and translation skills and familiarizing them with the realities of professional practice in the translation field.

The visit included an introductory presentation on the Center’s functions and various departments, delivered by Prof. Tagaddeen. He highlighted the key educational and training services provided by the Center in the fields of translation and language education, explained the Center’s role in serving the community, and outlined the working mechanisms followed in implementing specialized translation projects for various institutions and individuals across the country.

The visit also included a field tour of the Translation Unit, during which the students gained practical insight into the translation workflow. They also learned about the key practical challenges faced by professional translators and ways of addressing and overcoming them.

Ms. Anhar Al-Ahmar and the visiting students praised the high level of organization and professionalism they observed at the Center. They affirmed that such visits provide students with a valuable opportunity to familiarize themselves with the actual work environment in the translation field, acquire practical experience that supports their academic and professional development, and broaden their understanding of labor market requirements.
