Community Center for Translation & Language Teaching Sana'a University

Excellence in translation and language teaching to serve the community.

Overview

About the Center

In a globalized multicultural world, language is the bridge that connects us to other cultures and civilizations. Located at the heart of the University’s Main Campus, the Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) is a public community center affiliated with Sana’a University, comprising a group of outstanding academic and professional programs in translation and language teaching with well-qualified and competent Yemeni cadres. The idea of establishing this specialized center was conceived in 1997, at the beginning of the foundation of the Faculty of Languages. Starting as a Unit of Language Teaching within the Department of English, it was later developed into a language center which was established under Sana’a University Rector’s Resolution (No. 414/2004) to meet the community’s needs in translation services and foreign language teaching.

Since the beginning of 2016, the Center has witnessed qualitative development and steady expansion across its diverse programs and activities. Over the past years, the Center has consistently achieved remarkable progress and outstanding outcomes that have earned it a reputation for excellence and credibility in the field of translation and foreign language teaching at the national level. The number of students enrolled at the Center has recently reached 1,700 across all its programs.
