Master’s Degree Awarded to Ms. Ishraq Abdulrabboh Al-Sayeh in Orthodontics

Ms. Ishraq Abdulrabboh Manea Ali Al-Sayeh was awarded a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics for her thesis titled: Evaluation of the Relationship Between Maxillary Central Incisors and the Incisive Canal: A Cone Beam Computed Tomography Study, which was submitted to the Faculty of Dentistry– Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:
| # | Committee Members | Designation | Position |
| 1 | Prof. Ghamdan Abdullah Al-Harazi | Internal Examiner | Chair |
| 2 | Prof. Naelah Mohammed Al-Mujahid | Main Supervisor | Member |
| 3 | Prof. Yasser Ali Thabet | External Examiner | Member |
The study aimed to evaluate the anatomical relationship between the maxillary central incisors and the incisive canal using Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), given its importance in accurate treatment planning for orthodontic and surgical cases.
The study yielded a number of key findings summarized as follows:
- CBCT demonstrated high accuracy in assessing sensitive anatomical relationships within the maxillary region.
- The relationship between the central incisors and the incisive canal was confirmed as clinically significant, requiring careful consideration to avoid potential complications during treatment.
- CBCT was highlighted as a necessary and effective diagnostic tool for treatment planning.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended:
- Adopting CBCT as a primary evaluation tool in orthodontic cases requiring high anatomical precision.
- Increasing clinicians’ awareness of the importance of this anatomical relationship in clinical practice.
- Conducting further studies on diverse population samples to expand the clinical evidence base.
The defense session was attended by the Dean of the Faculty and a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
