I was born in 1960 in Atomah District, Dhamar Governorate, Yemen. I received my primary and secondary education in the capital, Sana’a and finished my university education in the Russian Federation. In 1986 I received a master’s degree in nuclear power stations from St. Petersburg State Technical University, and then in 2004 I received a doctorate (PhD) in condensed state physics from Altai State Technical University. Before working at the Faculty of Engineering at Sana’a University, I held several technical and administrative positions in the Public Electricity Corporation, the National Atomic Energy Authority and the Ministry of Electricity, the last of which was a consultant to the Ministry of Electricity. I participated in many scientific conferences and symposia inside and outside Yemen. I hold a number of certificates of appreciation.
