Physiotherapy
Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences - Sana'a University
Sana’a University seeks diversity and comprehensiveness in medical and health study programs. Given the urgent need and scarcity of specialization and keeping pace with global development in the field of physical therapy and the diversity of its services and the urgent need to rehabilitate injured and sick disabled people in Yemen, the development of the physical therapy program results from the increasing need for such specialization in the fields of health. It varies steadily due to many factors, including the following :
– Rapid progress in medical knowledge and the success of physical therapy in preventing and treating various medical conditions .
– Increasing knowledge of the problems of chronic diseases and physical and mental disabilities, which resulted in the development of health care programs to include rehabilitation for all age groups .
– The development of physical therapy programs at the local and international levels in health departments as a result of the modernization of health care systems around the world .
