Visit of Ms. Aida, Head of the Physical Rehabilitation Program at the International Committee of the Red Cross, to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Sana’a

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr Khaled Al-Khamesy welcomed Ms. Aida, Head of the Physical Rehabilitation Program at the International Committee of the Red Cross, along with Mr. Yasser Al-Imad, the program coordinator.

The visit aimed to coordinate the celebration of the World Prosthetics and Orthotics Day, which the faculty will adopt in collaboration with the ICRC, as well as to discuss preparations for the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Bachelor’s program in Prosthetics and Orthotics.

It is worth noting that this specialized program is the only one of its kind in the region and has received recognition and academic accreditation from the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO).

This visit underscores the commitment of the leadership of the University of Sana’a, under the presidency of Professor Al-Qasim Muhammad Abbas, to develop medical professionals and enhance collaboration between educational institutions and humanitarian organizations, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life for those in need in Yemen.
