The Second Workshop on Field Supervision in the Field of Prosthetics and Orthotics at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana’a University
As part of efforts to enhance professional capacities in the field of prosthetics and orthotics, the second workshop titled “Clinical Field Supervision in Prosthetics and Orthotics” was held at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The workshop was opened by Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Sana’a University who welcomed experts from the International Committee and specialists from all prosthetic and orthotic centers in Yemen.
Dr. Al-Khamesy emphasized the workshop’s importance in enhancing specialists’ skills in patient interaction and understanding their medical history, stressing the need for effective communication with related medical professionals and patients to ensure comprehensive and effective healthcare delivery.
The workshop featured interactive lectures with experts and broad participation, where experiences and knowledge were exchanged through discussion sessions and interactive workshops. The latest techniques and practices in the field were also reviewed, contributing to improving the quality of services provided to patients.
This event is part of the Sana’a University efforts to enhance cooperation with international organizations in improving the level of health services in the country, reaffirming its commitment to developing specialized medical personnel. The workshop was attended by Mr. Yasser Al-Imad, the general coordinator of the program.
