Sana’a University Holds Memorial Event for Dr. Yahya Al-Huraibi, Founder of Anesthesia in Yemen
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University, in collaboration with the Yemeni Society of Anesthesiologists, organized a memorial event for Dr. Yahya Ali Al-Huraibi, a pioneer in the field of anesthesia and critical care in Yemen.
Dr. Ali Jahaf, Deputy Minister of Health and environment emphasized that Dr. Al-Huraibi’s passing represents a significant loss for the medical community, as he dedicated his life to serving his profession and country. He described Dr. Al-Huraibi as a model of dedication and generosity in teaching, having contributed to the establishment of the Yemeni Society of Anesthesiologists and led training programs to develop medical personnel.
Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, highlighted the importance of this event in remembering Dr. Al-Huraibi’s achievements, noting that he played a crucial role in building generations of anesthesiologists and establishing the Bachelor’s program in Anesthesia at the university.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Abyad, pointed out Dr. Al-Huraibi’s contributions to the development of the anesthesia specialty, including the introduction of modern treatment methods.
The event featured speeches from prominent medical figures who reflected on the late doctor’s virtues and his scientific legacy. The attendees confirmed that Dr. Al-Huraibi was an inspiration for new generations of doctors.
