The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University successfully conducted the practical examinations for the Anatomy curriculum today. Second-year MBBCh students were assessed at the faculty’s specialized laboratories and cadaveric dissection rooms, following the officially accredited academic evaluation system for the current semester.
Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehari, and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs, Prof. Anwar Al-Mughalles, inspected the examination process. During their tour, they reviewed the evaluation mechanisms and the recent technical upgrades implemented in the dissection facilities to ensure they meet modern pedagogical and safety requirements.
Dean Al-Shehari emphasized that practical anatomy examinations are a cornerstone in a medical student’s early training. By transitioning knowledge from theoretical frameworks to a precise, applied understanding of human biological structures, students build the essential foundation required for clinical success in later years.
“We prioritize the preparation and execution of these exams to ensure both assessment fairness and the accurate measurement of students’ practical skills,” stated Dr. Al-Shehari. “The continuous modernization of our anatomy laboratories is a key component of our strategic plan to align our learning environment with the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) accreditation standards.”
Sana’a University continues to implement its evaluation programs under strict academic oversight. This commitment is part of a broader vision to graduate medical professionals who are scientifically and practically prepared to compete effectively at both national and international levels.
