Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University Celebrates Al-Mawled Al-Nabawi, Honors Top Students, and Welcomes Freshmen

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University, in cooperation with the Student Forum, organized today a speech and cultural event to celebrate the anniversary of the Prophet’s Birthday (Al-Mawled Al-Nabawi), coinciding with welcoming new male and female students and honoring top outstanding students, as part of the events taking place at the university aimed at enhancing prophetic values and consolidating the culture of scientific excellence and institutional belonging.
The event was attended by the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehari, and a number of faculty members and academic and administrative staff, along with a large crowd of male and female students.
In his speech, the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, emphasized that commemorating the anniversary of the Prophet’s Birthday embodies the connection to the Messenger of Humanity, peace be upon him and his family, and enhances inspiration from the values and principles he brought in building human beings and serving society, pointing to the importance of consolidating these meanings in educational and health institutions.
For his part, Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, explained that celebrating this blessed occasion embodies the university’s message in combining its scientific mission with its educational and cultural role, stressing that welcoming new male and female students and honoring top achievers reflects the university’s interest in nurturing scientific talents and motivating them toward creativity, excellence, and serving the nation.
In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehari, indicated that organizing this event comes within the framework of the faculty’s keenness to consolidate prophetic values, enhance communication with students, and prepare a motivating university environment for freshmen, in addition to celebrating top students in appreciation of their academic excellence and to encourage them to continue success.
The event featured speeches as well as cultural and chanting performances that expressed the status of the Noble Prophet, peace be upon him and his family. It also witnessed welcoming new male and female students and introducing them to the university environment, before concluding with honoring the top outstanding students in appreciation of their diligence and to motivate them to continue the path of excellence.
This event comes within a series of activities organized by the faculties of Sana’a University in celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday, in a way that enhances the university environment supporting values, encourages academic excellence, and confirms the university’s interest in building the student’s personality scientifically, culturally, and nationally.
