Creating a Model Academic Environment: Faculty of Medicine Unveils New Facilities Upgrade Roadmap

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University hosted a high-level strategic meeting today to discuss the comprehensive maintenance plan and service enhancements for the University’s medical Faculties.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdulhafidh Thawabah, Assistant to the University Rector for Medical Faculties and Hospitals, alongside Mr. Iskandar Al-Maqaleh, Secretary-General of the University, Mr. Marwan Al-Mikhlafi, Secretary of the Faculty of Medicine, and the secretaries of the various medical faculties.
This initiative follows the directives of Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, who emphasized the necessity of enhancing the quality and performance of medical facilities. The directive highlights that improving the general aesthetic, infrastructure, and hygiene standards is essential to fostering a conducive learning environment for both academic staff and students.
During the session, attendees underscored that these upgrades are designed to create an exemplary and stimulating academic atmosphere. Such improvements are expected to directly impact the quality of medical education and research output. The committee noted that facility enhancement is a fundamental pillar of the University’s broader development strategy, aimed at meeting international academic accreditation standards and ensuring educational outcomes reflect the prestigious heritage of Sana’a University.
The meeting also reviewed the executive mechanisms for maintaining facilities and ensuring the sustainability of services across all medical colleges. Participants reaffirmed that providing a fully integrated educational environment is a key component of the University’s ongoing mission to elevate operational performance across all sectors, in accordance with the highest global standards.
