Sana’a University Faculty of Medicine Discusses Strategic Digital Development and Social Media Presence

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University held an expanded meeting today to review the strategic development of its official website and social media platforms. The session focused on enhancing digital content to better reflect the Faculty’s academic, scientific, and media activities.
The meeting was attended by the Faculty Dean, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehari, alongside Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, Sana’a University Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs. Other key attendees included Prof. Arwa Othman, Vice Dean for Student Affairs; Prof Anwar Al-Mughallis, Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs and Hospitals; Prof. Ahmed Mujahid, Vice Dean for Quality Assurance as well as Members of the Steering Committee and relevant digital media specialists.
The participants explored various strategies to strengthen the Faculty’s media outreach and streamline digital workflows.
The meeting covered the core components of the Faculty’s website, focusing on content management systems (CMS) and the regular updating of data and academic records. Particular emphasis was placed on unifying the Faculty’s media discourse to ensure that all published news and events maintain the highest levels of accuracy and professionalism.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to digital security, including:
– Methods for securing official social media accounts.
– Aligning social platforms with the Faculty’s official email systems.
– Maintaining a consistent “brand voice” and reliable digital presence to protect the Faculty’s official image.
The committee highlighted the vital role of digital platforms in showcasing the Faculty’s academic and research achievements. By modernizing these tools, the Faculty aims to foster more effective communication with students, staff, and the wider community, thereby enhancing its overall institutional visibility.
