Assessing Laboratory Proficiency: Sana’a University Conducts Practical Biochemistry Exams for Medical Students

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University held the practical examinations for the Biochemistry curriculum today. Second-year MBBCh (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) students underwent rigorous testing in the faculty’s laboratories, as part of the accredited academic evaluation system for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The exams were conducted under the direct supervision of the Department of Biochemistry’s faculty and technical staff. The assessments focused on measuring students’ competency in:
• Performing precise biochemical tests and diagnostic procedures.
• Demonstrating an understanding of the chemical processes essential to human life.
• Linking theoretical concepts to practical applications regarding physiological and pathological functions in the human body.
