A workshop to train photographers on using modern cameras at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
A workshop was held at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University to train photographers on using modern cameras that were provided under the kind directives of Professor Dr. Al-Qasim Muhammad Abbas – President of the University to contribute to providing the necessary capabilities for media work at Sana’a University and to contribute to conveying the true image of the great capabilities that the university possesses to our local community and to the international bodies concerned with the international classification of universities. At the opening of the workshop, Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, praised the efforts made by the university leadership represented by the President of the University aimed at advancing the educational process in the Faculty and providing the appropriate capabilities to film and produce lectures of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and publish them on the websites of the Faculty of Medicine and its channels on the global YouTube network and the rest of the pages on social media, stressing that this will contribute tangibly and within a very short period, God willing, to advancing the scientific and cognitive process in the Faculty .
For his part, Professor Adel Al-Hababi, Assistant President of the University for Media Affairs, explained that this step is considered a qualitative leap in university media work, not only at the level of Sana’a University, but also at the level of Yemen in general, as it is the starting point for filming lectures for the study levels in the Department of Human Medicine for the first, second and third levels in the Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences for boys and girls, as arrangements were made to film the lectures of the two faculties for the three levels, taking into full consideration the privacy of our society, customs and traditions, stressing that filming these lectures will contribute to conveying the true image and great scientific capabilities enjoyed by Yemeni scholars from the faculty members in the Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University and transmitting them through the university’s websites and its windows on social media to the world, especially to the parties concerned with the international classification of universities in the world that cannot reach our country due to the siege that Yemen has been suffering from for years. The website of Sana’a University is the only window for evaluation and classification of the university among the universities of the world, renewing at the same time the importance of informing trainees of the advantages of these media tools that have been provided, preserved and harnessed only for recording academic lectures .
To benefit the largest number of male and female students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in the coming years.
It is worth noting that the training workshop held at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in the capital Sana’a was managed by the photographer Professor Essam Al-Khamesy, with the attendance of fourteen male and female trainees, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Faculty, Mr. Khaled Al-Shami, who confirmed the Faculty’s harnessing of all available capabilities to make this experiment a success, which is a promising nucleus for the development of Sana’a University in the coming years in all fields, and in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Al-Matari – Director of Information Systems and Head of the Website and Social Media Sites at the Faculty .
