Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana’a’ University Hosts Scientific Conference to Discuss Graduation Research of First Batch of New Programs

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Sana’a University hosted today its first scientific conference dedicated to discussing the graduation research of the first batch in the following programs: Anesthesia, Radiology and Diagnostic Clinical Imaging, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition, Physiotherapy, and Prosthetics and Orthotics.
The Dean of the Faculty Prof Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy stated that this conference represents a historic moment for the graduates, praising the brave decision to launch these rare specialized programs under exceptional circumstances. He commended the continuous efforts of the students throughout their studies and expressed great appreciation for the teaching staff who contributed to guiding and supporting the students in their academic journey, emphasizing the importance of this research in enhancing medical education and improving healthcare services in Yemen. He also noted that the presented research reflects a high level of critical thinking and innovation, clarifying that the university aims to open graduate programs (Master’s) in these fields, expressing hope that graduates will become ambassadors of knowledge and creativity like their counterparts from the esteemed college.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Abyad emphasized that this research will have significant impacts on healthcare fields, stressing the importance of scientific research in improving patient outcomes and developing medical practices. He urged graduates to continue seeking knowledge and innovation, confirming that their professional journey does not end with graduation but rather begins from that point.
Meanwhile, the head of the conference’s organizing committee, graduate Mohammed Mathna, pointed out that this research embodies the culmination of years of effort by the graduates in a journey filled with challenges and inspiration. He noted that each project, research, and scientific experience contributed to shaping their personalities and developing their skills, emphasizing that this research is not just academic papers but a manifestation of the hopes and aspirations of graduates for a healthier future.
The conference also featured an exhibition of scientific research projects by the graduates, in addition to scientific sessions to discuss the graduation research.
