Objective of the Program:

  1. Prepare qualified healthcare team members with knowledge and skills that meet the present and future healthcare needs.

  2. Develop professional ethics and teamwork among healthcare team members.

  3. Prepare faculty members and specialists in medicine and health sciences.

  4. Develop necessary programs for continuing education and postgraduate studies.

  5. Foster a spirit of scientific research among faculty members and students, encouraging both academic and applied research with a priority on healthcare issues in Yemen and providing practical solutions.

  6. Contribute to improving the quality of healthcare services by participating in planning, training, and evaluation with the Ministry of Public Health and other relevant institutions.

  7. Promote and support the Arabic language movement.

Study System:

  • The study system follows an academic year. English is the language of scientific instruction. The duration of study to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in the Medical Laboratory Department is a minimum of four academic years, in addition to a six-month internship period. During the internship, students may advance to a higher level by completing only three courses.

  • The total number of credit hours required to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory is 92 approved hours.
