Periodic Meeting of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences – July \ 2024
This morning, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Council held its periodic meeting of the Faculty Council, headed by the Chairman of the Council, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Khamisi, and attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, Vice President of the University for Medical Faculty’s and Hospitals Affairs, Vice Deans, and Heads of the Basic and Clinical Departments for all Faculty Programs. During the meeting, the previous meeting was reviewed, approved, and adopted. Then, the meeting began by discussing many important issues related to quality and academic accreditation, and what is related to graduate studies, academic affairs, student affairs, and development affairs.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the media assistant to the university president, was invited and he gave them a comprehensive explanation of what is happening in terms of developing the university and Faculty websites, activating various social media, linking advertisements, activities and events and publishing them on the website and social media pages, which will contribute to increasing the number of visits to the Faculty and university websites, which will help in the process of international classification of the university among the world’s universities. Al-Hababi also explained the university’s efforts to film the lectures of the first three levels in the Faculty of Medicine and publish them on the Faculty’s YouTube page, which will help our male and female students to return to them as references in the future. Al-Hababi spoke about the importance of following up on the discussion of the academic degrees in postgraduate studies for master’s and doctorate degrees that the Faculty grants to its students and the importance of publishing them on the Faculty and university websites and social media pages, as they represent models to be emulated by students. For his part, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Khamisi, Dean of the Faculty, stressed the contribution of the Faculty and its academic and administrative staff to provide everything that would raise the international classification of the university within the framework of its specialization and what could be beneficial through interest in the Faculty’s website and social media pages, which will undoubtedly contribute with the rest of the Faculty’s and centers to the success of this experiment for Sana’a University in benefiting from activating the media aspect of the university and in a way that benefits our male and female students and the Faculty’s and the university in general. During the meeting, a number of council members presented some inquiries and suggestions that would contribute to the success of the media work in the Faculty and in a way that benefits everyone.
