Today, the Scientific Council for Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana’a University held its periodic meeting in the conference hall of the Faculty, attended by Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy the Dean of the Faculty and the Chair of the Council, Prof. Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Mutahar, the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Shahary, the Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs and Hospitals, as well as the Heads of the Academic Departments and the Coordinators of the Specialized Postgraduate Programs (MD) .
During the meeting, many topics related to the progress of the educational and research processes in the postgraduate programs at the Faculty were discussed. The new postgraduate regulations were reviewed, and the challenges facing students and faculty members were discussed, in addition to exploring ways to overcome these challenges .
The attendees also emphasized the need to develop and update the academic programs in line with international standards. They also stressed the importance of strengthening scientific research and supporting students’ academic and research projects .
These activities reflect the continuous efforts of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University develop postgraduate programs and enhance scientific research in a way that serves sustainable development in the health field .
