Scientific Committee Meeting for Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Sana’a

The Scientific Committee for Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, held its periodic meeting at the New University Hospital, chaired by Prof Dr. Al-Qasim Muhammad Abbas, President of the University, with the attendance of the Vice President for Hospital Affairs, Prof Dr. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, and the head of the committee is Prof. Dr. Khaled Alkhamesy – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and his deputies, as well as the heads of the academic departments and coordinators of the specialized (MD) study programs .

During the meeting, several topics related to the progress of the educational and research process in the graduate programs at the Faculty were discussed, and the challenges and obstacles facing students and faculty members were reviewed, and ways to overcome them were discussed .

The attendees emphasized the necessity of developing the academic programs, updating the curricula in line with international standards, as well as enhancing scientific research and supporting the students’ study and research projects .
