The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University Celebrates the Graduation of the 34th Cohort of Female Medical Students

Today, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University organized a special ceremony to celebrate the graduation of the 34th cohort of female medical students. The event witnessed the distinguished presence of university leaders, deans of colleges, directors of medical centers and hospitals, as well as the families and relatives of the graduates.
The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehari, expressed his pride and happiness at the graduation of this cohort, highlighting the significance of their achievement. He stated, “I congratulate my graduating daughters in today’s celebration, following yesterday’s celebration of the male students from the same cohort, which includes more than 500 doctors who have successfully completed their studies.” He praised the students’ ethics and perseverance throughout their years of study, emphasizing that they will strengthen Yemen’s medical sector with qualified professionals. He urged them to uphold the medical oath, noting that medicine is a humanitarian mission before being a profession.
A representative of the University Student Union at the faculty, Asim Al-Salahi, also delivered a speech, expressing pride in the graduation of this cohort. He emphasized the honor of working in the field of treating patients and alleviating their suffering, congratulating the graduates and their families on their success and wishing them all the best in their professional journey.
Meanwhile, the head of the preparatory committee, Asmaa Al-Zailai, and the cohort representative, Alaa Al-Sharjabi, expressed their gratitude to the faculty administration and teaching staff for their efforts and dedication throughout the years of study. They reaffirmed their commitment to the medical oath and to working diligently and faithfully in service to the nation.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the graduates and the top-performing students, who were presented with shields and certificates of recognition.
