Sana’a – In an effort to enhance academic and professional collaboration, Ms. Freal Radi, Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Yemen, visited the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University this morning. She was welcomed by Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy the Dean of the Faculty .
During the visit, the two parties discussed several important topics, including support for academic programs and projects related to the prosthetics and orthotics program. Ms. Radi expressed her admiration for the level of education and training received by students, commending the available facilities and the efforts made to prepare qualified personnel in this vital field .
Dr. Al-Khamesy presented the latest updates within the faculty, including curriculum development and laboratory enhancements. At the end of the visit, Ms Radi emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration with the faculty, noting that the International Committee of the Red Cross aims to support the training of outstanding professionals in the fields of prosthetics, orthotics, and physical therapy .
In response, Dr. Al-Khamesy expressed his appreciation for the visit, highlighting the significance of continuous support and partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross. The visit was also attended by program coordinator Yasser Al-Imad and Dr. Fatima Al-Yamani .
