Doctoral Degree Awarded to Researcher Labeeb Abdo Doghaish Hawash, Department of Private Law, Faculty of Sharia and Law
Researcher Labeeb Abdo Doghaish Hawash was awarded a doctoral degree in Private Law from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Sana’a University for his dissertation entitled “Garnishment of a Debtor’s Property Held by a Third Party – A Comparative Study.”
The public defense of the researcher’s dissertation submitted for the doctoral degree took place on Thursday, 11 Safar 1446 AH, corresponding to August 15, 2024.
The dissertation defense committee consisted of:-
* Assoc. Prof. Sadeq Yahya Ali Al-Ari, External Examiner, Chairperson.
* Assoc. Prof. Adel Ali Muhammad Saleh Al-Najjar, Supervisor, Member.
* Dr. Saeed Khaled Al-Sharabi, Internal Examiner, Member.
After the researcher presented the content, objectives, results, and recommendations of his study, the committee decided to award him a doctoral degree in the Private Law.
In this study, the researcher addressed a highly important topic in private law and procedural law, namely the garnishment of a debtor’s property held by a third party.
The study included an introduction that presented the research problem, its questions, reasons, importance, and methodology. The researcher then divided his study into three chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter with two sub-chapters dealt with the nature of garnishing debtor’s property at a third party’s hands. The second chapter addressed the procedures preceding garnishment, also include two sub-chapters. The third chapter discussed the procedures following garnishment, again include two sub-chapters.
The researcher concludes the study with some of the most important results and recommendations reached.
The public defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, interested individuals, and members of the researcher’s family and colleagues.
