Doctorate for Researcher Abdul Majeed Abdullah Dhafer in Public Law from the Faculty of Sharia and Law

Researcher Abdul Majeed Abdullah Mohammed Dhafer Al-Jabali was awarded a Doctorate in Public Law from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Sana’a University for his dissertation entitled: “The Efficiency of the Public Prosecution and Its Role in the Stages of Criminal Proceedings (A Comparative Applied Study).
The Viva discussion and result took place on Monday, 3 Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to March 3, 2025 AD.
The discussion and Viva committee consisted of the following professors:
* Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdul Baqi Al-Khatib, Internal Examiner, Sana’a University, Chairperson
* Prof. Dr. Munir Mohammed Al-Joubi, External Examiner, Police Academy, Member.
* Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rajeh Najad, Main Supervisor Sana’a University, Member.
The study aimed to clarify the efficiency of the Public Prosecution and its role in the stages of criminal proceedings.
The study come out with a set of findings, the most important of which are that the efficiency of the Public Prosecution when exercising its powers plays a crucial role in promoting justice and ensuring the effective application of the law. The efficiency of the Public Prosecution in the investigation stage affects the quality of the evidence presented, and that the efficiency of the Public Prosecution in the trial stage plays a crucial role in promoting justice and ensuring the adequate application of the law.
The study suggested a set of recommendations, the most important of which are amending Articles (114), (316), and (456) of the Criminal Procedure Law, Article (2) of the Crimes and Penalties Law, amending Articles (78), (208), and (259) of the Public Prosecution instructions, Article (52) and (239) of the Civil Procedure Law, and qualifying employees in the Public Prosecution function.
The discussion was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, interested individuals, and a number of the student’s colleagues and family members.
