Department of Comparative Jurisprudence Approves Master’s and Ph.D. Proposals for Academic Year 2026

Department of Comparative Jurisprudence at the Faculty of Sharia and Law held its departmental meeting for the academic year 2026. During the session, faculty members reviewed and unanimously approved the research proposals for one master’s thesis and one Ph.D. dissertation, praising their academic significance and their potential to provide a qualitative addition to the field of comparative Islamic jurisprudence.
The meeting featured a comprehensive discussion of the master’s thesis proposal submitted by Ms. Shatha Ahmed Abdulmalek Hamidaddin, titled: “Provisions of Waqf (Endowment) Leasing: A Comparative Jurisprudential Study with Yemeni Law.” The study examines the jurisprudential and legal aspects of leasing endowment properties, highlighting key comparisons between Islamic jurisprudence and Yemeni statutory law.
Additionally, the department reviewed the Ph.D. dissertation proposal submitted by Mr. Ammar Ahmed Ali Muhyiddin, titled: “Islamic Financing via Mudarabah and Musharakah in Islamic Banks: A Comparative Jurisprudential Study.” The research aims to analyze Islamic financing structures and their practical applications in Islamic banking from a comparative jurisprudential perspective.
In concluding the meeting, faculty members emphasized the academic and research importance of both topics, noting that they address contemporary issues highly relevant to Islamic jurisprudence and legal frameworks. The department extended its best wishes to both researchers for success in completing their academic endeavor
