- Munther Ahmed Ishaq Main Supervisor Member
- Abdulkarim Mohammed Al-Duais External Examiner Member
The study aimed to:
- Examine the impact of organizational culture on job performance at the Yemen Public Telecommunications Corporation.
- Assess the influence of the various dimensions of organizational culture, including organizational values, beliefs, expectations, and norms, on employee performance.
The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:
- The level of organizational culture within the corporation was rated high across all dimensions from the employees’ perspective, although organizational expectations recorded the lowest mean score among the cultural dimensions.
- Organizational performance, represented by efficiency and effectiveness, was also rated at a high level. However, the findings highlighted a need to improve marketing policies, optimize the utilization of available resources, and enhance performance evaluation mechanisms to ensure fairness, transparency, and greater job satisfaction.
- Organizational culture in its various dimensions had a statistically significant positive impact on organizational performance, indicating a direct positive relationship between the two variables.
- Statistically significant differences were found based on educational qualifications and job titles, whereas no significant differences were observed with respect to years of experience.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
- Directing employee performance toward achieving the corporation’s strategic objectives and aligning organizational expectations with institutional goals, particularly regarding wages, incentives, and promotion systems based on clear and equitable criteria.
- Providing an attractive work environment and strengthening employee participation in decision-making processes.
- Focusing on meeting customer needs through the optimal utilization of available resources and continuously improving marketing activities across branch offices.
- Modernizing work methods and establishing unified performance indicators and procedures to ensure efficiency regardless of employees’ educational qualifications, years of experience, or job levels.
The defense session was attended by academics, researchers, students, and individuals interested in public administration and development issues, along with the researcher’s colleagues and family members.
