CPA Academic Committee Approves New Research Projects and Discusses Academic Program Development

The Academic Committee of the Center for Public Administration (CPA) at Sana’a University held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of the Center Director, Prof. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Mekhlafi. During the meeting, the committee discussed a number of academic and research matters and adopted several decisions aimed at enhancing the quality of graduate programs and improving their academic outcomes.
At the outset of the meeting, the committee welcomed the decision of the University Council, issued during its first regular meeting of the 1448 AH academic year, to reopen the Executive Master’s Program in Public Administration and the Academic Master’s Program in Public Administration. The committee noted that this decision represents a significant addition to the university’s graduate studies portfolio and reflects its commitment to expanding opportunities for academic and professional qualification while preparing leadership cadres capable of meeting development needs and advancing institutional performance.
The committee also congratulated Prof. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Mekhlafi on his appointment as Director of the Center for Public Administration, expressing its full support for his efforts to further develop the center’s academic and research programs, enhance institutional performance, and strengthen the center’s position as one of the university’s leading academic centers.
During the meeting, the committee approved the results of a number of graduate students’ research projects after confirming that all academic requirements had been fulfilled. It also endorsed several new master’s research proposals, reinforcing the university’s commitment to scientific research and encouraging applied studies that address administrative and developmental challenges while responding to the needs of public institutions and society.
The committee further reviewed a number of proposals for the development of the center’s academic programs, including updating study plans, reviewing course curricula, enhancing learning outcomes, and aligning programs with recent scientific developments and labor market requirements. These initiatives are consistent with Sana’a University’s strategic vision to improve the quality of higher education and achieve academic accreditation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Academic Committee reaffirmed its commitment to the continuous development of graduate studies programs, strengthening the academic and research environment, and promoting a culture of quality and excellence. These efforts aim to prepare highly qualified academic and professional graduates capable of making meaningful contributions to community service and sustainable development.
