On Sunday, 5/12/2024, the College of Veterinary Medicine at Sana’a University witnessed the opening of the training course for animal health workers for 50 trainees from the Saada and Hajjah governorates, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, under the supervision of the Deanship of the College and the academic staff, which lasts for forty days, during which the trainees receive theoretical and practical lectures within the limits of the work and tasks assigned to them as animal health workers.
The Dean of the College reviewed the importance of holding such courses and creating communication channels between animal health specialists and workers representing the two governorates. He also reviewed the future visions of the College.
The opening was attended by the Director General of Planning at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Engineer Adel Al-Qadimi, the Deputy Director General of Animal Health, Dr. Hamir Al-Houri, and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross. They praised the effective role played by the college.
