Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment Launches Academic Year 1447 Hijri
Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment – Sana’a University today commenced the academic and educational process for the first semester of the academic year 1447 Hijri (2025/2026) across all its departments.
On Saturday, Muharram 3, 1447 Hijri (June 28, 2025), Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Weshli, the Faculty Dean, inaugurated and inspected the progress of the educational process on the first day of the academic year 1447 Hijri, corresponding to 2025/2026. He was accompanied by the Faculty’s leadership, including Vices Dean and Heads of Departments. Dr. Al-Weshli visited various classrooms and laboratories, reviewing the preparations made by the Faculty to welcome students and ensure a suitable learning environment.
In a statement, Dr. Al-Weshli explained that the launch of studies for the first semester aligns with the university academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic year, in accordance with previous directives issued by the Ministry and the University. Studies for second, third, and fourth-year students across all faculties began today, Saturday, Muharram 3, 1447 Hijri, corresponding to June 28, 2025. The academic year for new first-year students will commence on Safar 1, 1447 Hijri. During his monitoring of academic discipline, the Dean commended the commitment of faculty members and staff since the first day of the academic year. He emphasized that adherence to the university calendar, the activation of study schedules, and the monitoring of attendance for both students and faculty from the very first day are paramount to the Faculty’s leadership and the University Presidency, as these measures ultimately serve the best interests of the students. In line with directives from the University Presidency, Dr. Al-Weshli underscored that the commitment of the Faculty’s leadership, academic staff, and employees must be met with similar commitment from students, stressing that there will be no leniency for absentees. Dr. Al-Weshli extended his gratitude to all members of the Faculty, including academic staff and employees, for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the smooth progress of the educational process. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, the University Rector, for his continuous follow-up on the educational process and his unwavering support for the Faculty in maintaining its recognized excellence and quality.
