In an ongoing effort to bolster environmental sustainability within Sana’a University (New Campus), Department of Soil, Water and Environment at Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment has completed soil analyses. These analyses were conducted on samples taken from the field adjacent to the University Presidency building and another field near the Faculty of Education. This work was directly supervised by Eng. Abdulrahman Abo Al-Hasan and Eng. Faisal Al-Yateem.
Concurrently, students from the Department of Horticulture and Its Techniques are continuing their efforts to plan and plant fruit trees in the campus orchard. This practical initiative, supervised by Eng. Taysir Al-Sanhani, aims to translate theoretical knowledge into tangible, developmental applications.
These activities are part of a broader environmental afforestation initiative, aligning with directives from the University’s Presidency and the Faculty’s deanship. The project is dedicated to embedding principles of sustainable development and enhancing students’ awareness of the vital role of agriculture and the environment in both academic life and the wider community.
