Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment Holds Workshop on Undergraduate Research Matrix

Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at Sana’a Univetsity, recently hosted a specialized workshop to discuss the implementation mechanism of the Undergraduate Research Matrix.
The workshop, organized in collaboration with the University’s Science and Technology Center, was attended by several academics and experts in scientific research. The attendees included heads of the Faculty’s scientific departments, the Director General of Scientific Research at the University, as well as Dr. Taha Al-Weshali and Dr. Adel Al-Shuqairi from the Science and Technology Center.
The event featured a presentation of the scientific plans for executing the Research Matrix. Discussions also covered the key challenges facing students in preparing their research projects and ways to support applied scientific research within the university. Furthermore, proposals were put forth to enhance the link between the Research Matrix and the needs of the community and productive sectors. This initiative aims to improve the quality of university education outcomes and strengthen students’ research skills.
Participants emphasized the workshop’s significance in developing students’ research skills, fostering a culture of scientific inquiry, and creating an educational environment that encourages innovation and scientific exploration. They also stressed the necessity of continuing such events to facilitate the exchange of expertise between colleges and research centers, which will positively impact the quality of university education and scientific research at the institution.
