The Academic Integrity Committee at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment convened its periodic meeting this Sunday, January 11, 2026. Chaired by Dr. Ali Al-Azaki, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, the committee met to evaluate the quality and progress of the faculty’s advanced research programs.
The meeting served as a vital quality control session, addressing several key administrative and academic pillars:
• The committee reviewed faculty supervision loads to ensure that every postgraduate student receives adequate mentorship and guidance.
• Official approval was granted for the results of several thesis defense committees, finalizing the graduation requirements for a number of scholars.
• Members evaluated new Master’s and Doctoral research proposals across various departments. Each proposal was assessed for its scientific originality, technical feasibility, and alignment with global environmental and agricultural research standards.
In its closing recommendations, the committee approved several research plans while requesting specific technical modifications for others. These measures are designed to safeguard the faculty’s academic reputation and ensure that all published research contributes meaningful, high-quality data to the scientific community.
