Summary:

I completed my primary and postgraduate studies (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D.) in the People’s Republic of China, and then I got a Fulbright Fellowship and worked as a visiting professor at the University of Reno – Nevada in the United States of America. I was appointed as a Director of the Central Laboratories for Scientific Research and Community Service at Sana’a University from 2007 to 2013 when I was elected as a Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sana’a University until 2016 when I resigned and selected as a President of Yemen Academy for Graduate Studies until 2019. Specializing in pesticide analysis and environmental assessment of environmental pollutants, I teach undergraduate as well as graduate courses and supervise postgraduate students in the Department of Plant Protection, College of Agriculture – Sana’a University. My research interests include the behavior of pesticides in the environment, analysis of pesticide residues and minerals in medicinal herbs, agricultural materials, and foods, assessment of pesticide safety and the safe application of hazardous chemicals, investigation of pesticide residues, environmental toxins, and risk assessment, environmental fate and risk assessment of toxic chemicals. During my career, I have worked as a consultant and expert with many relevant national and international organizations and bodies.
