Social Work Trainees Conduct Cholera Awareness Campaign at Al-Oseimi School

Third-year field trainees from the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University, conducted an educational awareness campaign on cholera at Al-Oseimi School, under the supervision of faculty supervisor Ms. Mona Al-Rayashi.
The outreach activity covered the definition of cholera, its causes, modes of transmission, and preventive measures. The campaign emphasized personal hygiene, handwashing techniques, safe drinking water practices, and food safety standards to curb the spread of infectious diseases and promote healthy habits among students.
The session featured interactive discussions and Q&A segments with students, alongside the distribution of educational brochures highlighting cholera prevention guidelines.
This initiative is part of the Social Work Department’s field training curriculum, bridging academic theory with practical application and fostering student-led community service and public health outreach.
