The student Ahmed Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Al-Jaafari obtained a master’s degree with a grade of 92% with an excellent grade in the Department of (Information Technology) specializing in (Networks and Distributed Systems) College of (Computers and Information Technology) at Sana’a University for his thesis entitled (A model for improving the performance of tuberculosis detection based on deep learning) on Wednesday 1-3-1446 corresponding to 4/9/2024 AD. The discussion and judging committee consisted of Professor Dr. (Ghalib Hamoud Al-Jaafari) as the main supervisor and member of the committee, Professor Dr. (Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Balta) as an internal examiner and head of the committee, and Associate Professor (Maher Ali Al-Sanbani) as an external examiner and member of the committee. The thesis aimed to improve the performance of systems based on deep learning in the early detection of tuberculosis. And to differentiate it from other pulmonary diseases. The thesis reached a number of results, including achieving a high accuracy rate of up to 99% in detecting the disease using the proposed model. Achieving transparency and reliability in the decision-making process. The researcher presented a number of recommendations in his master’s thesis, including applying the model in local health systems to improve tuberculosis detection and developing it to suit hybrid types of data. The discussion was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, interested parties, and a number of the student’s colleagues and family members.
