Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at Sana'a University

Dear Teaching staff, administrative staff, and students,
I am honored to address you today to share some of the exciting developments taking place at the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at Sana’a University.
Since its establishment in 2007, the faculty has been committed to keeping pace with the rapid advancements in the fields of computer science and information technology, striving to provide high-quality, distinguished education that empowers its students to lead and innovate in various fields.
As part of this ongoing endeavor, the faculty is currently undergoing a significant transformation in its infrastructure, with the construction of new laboratories equipped with the latest global technologies. This will provide students with the opportunity for hands-on training and the acquisition of the necessary skills to handle diverse computer programs and systems.
In addition, the faculty is continuing its efforts to open new distinguished academic programs that meet the needs of the local, regional, and international labor markets. In this regard, we are committed to continuously studying labor market requirements to ensure that the faculty stays abreast of the latest developments and in-demand specializations.
The faculty’s efforts have not been limited to developing its programs and facilities; it also pays great attention to the quality of learning outcomes. We believe in the importance of linking curricula to practical applications and providing a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to research and innovate.
With a firm belief in the importance of international academic accreditation as a lever for quality education, the faculty leadership has set its sights on a primary goal: to vigorously pursue international academic accreditation through ABET. We have taken the first steps towards achieving this goal by forming a specialized team to study the accreditation requirements and implement them optimally.
The rapid developments witnessed by the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology underscore its commitment to its vision and mission of providing high-quality, distinguished education that contributes to the graduation of qualified cadres capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the modern era. We are confident that the faculty’s future is promising and bright, and that it will continue its pioneering journey in the fields of computer science and information technology at the local, regional, and international levels.

Together towards bright academic horizons and a flourishing digital future!
