With Faculty Members, University President Discusses the Importance of Guiding Researchers Toward Topics that Can Lead to a True Developmental Renaissance for the Country
On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, Professor Al-Qasim Mohammed Abbas, the University President, met with several faculty members from the Gender and Development Research and Studies Center. The meeting focused on the importance of directing researchers, particularly those in the Master’s and Doctoral programs, toward topics that serve the country and can lead to a genuine developmental renaissance. Professor Al-Qasim praised the abilities and competence of the center’s researchers, which are recognized both within and outside the university. He also listened to the suggestions and observations of the faculty members involved in supervising and evaluating theses and dissertations. The President promised to implement measures to facilitate researchers conducting field studies. Several faculty members and supervisors from the center attended the meeting.
Dr. Halima Jahaf, the Center’s dean, also attended the meeting, welcoming the University President and all participants. The meeting was marked by a positive and productive discussion aimed at establishing a suitable mechanism to achieve the goals discussed. Dr. Saleh Humaid, the center’s Deputy Dean, and Dr. Elham Al-Rida, the Head of the master’s program, also attended.
