At the outset, it is essential to affirm that although the center’s name has recently changed, its fundamental mission as a pioneering institution for comprehensive development remains unchanged. Development is a dynamic process that can only be achieved through the active participation of all segments of society. It is measured by its inclusiveness of all members, including men, women, displaced persons, and individuals with disabilities across different age groups. Accordingly, we find it necessary to revisit the content of our Master’s programs and the topics of theses and dissertations, ensuring they are responsive to societal needs and aspirations and aligned with the country’s broader development policies.
Our focus on comprehensive development issues aims to address Yemeni development society’s challenges, which necessitates joint efforts from all stakeholders—within the university, across the community, and at the official level. We also seek to harness the latent potential of individuals associated with this academic institution, channeling their energies toward initiatives that benefit society and contribute to its progress and modernization. This includes optimizing the use of resources, fostering genuine local development, drawing from the experiences of other countries while respecting specific social contexts, and addressing the urgent need for reconstruction and recovery from the destruction caused by the aggression against Yemen.
In conclusion, we express our profound gratitude to the university leadership and all who have contributed to supporting and advancing the center.
